A traceable product label for
sustainably produced textiles.
We are very pleased that, following an intensive preparation period over the last 5 months at our production site in Portugal (October 2022), we successfully passed the audit for the OEKO-TEX® STeP certificate. In future, we will be able to label some of our products with the «MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX®» label.
What is the OEKO-TEX® STeP certification?
OEKO-TEX® STeP stands for "Sustainable Textile and Leather Production" and is an independent certification system for production facilities along the textile and leather supply chains. It ensures an environmentally friendly manufacturing process and guarantees socially responsible working conditions. The six modules of the STeP certification comprise: chemical management, environmental performance, environmental management, social responsibility, health and safety in the workplace as well as quality management.
What does the «MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX®» label mean?
MADE IN GREEN is a traceable product label for all types of textiles and leather articles that have been produced in environmentally friendly facilities and at safe and socially responsible workplaces. A prerequisite for MADE IN GREEN is that the product has been tested and certified for harmful substances in accordance with OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100. A further prerequisite is that the production facility is certified in accordance with OEKO-TEX® STeP. This makes it possible to guarantee that the textile product has been manufactured using environmentally friendly processes under socially responsible working conditions.
The label is awarded by the International OEKO-TEX® Association.

With the MADE IN GREEN labelled product, you as a consumer have the opportunity to trace the production journey of your product. To do so, simply scan the QR code on the label, or enter the product ID on the OEKO-TEX® label. You will then find out in which production facilities your item was manufactured.
