We are one of the Fairtrade partners in the textile sector
Thanks to the Fairtrade Cotton Program, the small-scale farmers and workers' families involved in the growing countries benefit from stable prices, Fairtrade and organic premiums, improved working conditions, and the advantages of organic farming. Compliance with international Fairtrade standards is independently monitored by a certification body. The processing chain is transparent and meets recognized social criteria.
As part of the Fairtrade Cotton Program, 13% of the cotton purchased by ISA Sallmann AG in 2023 was sourced under Fairtrade conditions. The Fairtrade Cotton Program enables small-scale farmers to sell more cotton under Fairtrade conditions.

Our Commitment
Sustainable production is a matter close to our heart and starts with the sourcing of raw materials. In 2023, we purchased 13% of our cotton under Fairtrade conditions. For production at our headquarters in Amriswil, we use natural electricity from the canton of Thurgau, and our facility in Portugal generates 100% of the required process and heating energy from its own photovoltaic system. This is how we contribute to sustainable development.
