There is as much Switzerland in our Gaggohaas as possible! The following manufacturing process applies to all foot pajamas: design & development, fabric production and cutting are carried out in Switzerland. Only the sewing and packaging is done by our subsidiary in Portugal. We value our production location in Switzerland and have been guaranteeing Swiss quality since 1849, something we are proud of.

The ISA family has a total of 220 employees. Of these, 60 people work at our head office in Amriswil and about 160 people work in our sewing factory in Portugal. Together, we produce around 1.5 million items of clothing every year. Consistently high quality goes without saying thanks to our many years of experience throughout the entire value chain. In 1849, our ancestors founded the knitting industry in Switzerland. Today, our production is still firmly anchored in Switzerland: we are the last Swiss clothing manufacturer that has its own knitting factory, and many of our fabrics are knitted and finished in Switzerland. Likewise, design and development, as well as about 40 % of cutting activities, take place in Switzerland. Our factory in Portugal only handles the sewing and the rest of the cutting.
We are long-term partners of the Max Havelaar Fairtrade Cotton scheme, and buy about 10 to 15 % of the cotton we need every year through the Max Havelaar Foundation. As a result, small farmers and working families in developing countries benefit from improved working conditions, fair trade and organic bonuses, as well as enjoy the advantages of organic farming. We also use particularly sustainable materials, such as micromodal, in our NOS and fashion collections.
However, for us sustainability means far more than just using sustainable materials. For example, we produce a large proportion of our materials at the Amriswil headquarters, and the refining (washing, dyeing, finishing) is also carried out under strict legal regulations with a Swiss partner. Our products do not travel around the world before they get to the customer: thanks to the short transport distances between the production sites in Switzerland and Portugal, the carbon footprint is low.
At our site in Portugal, we now produce 100 % of the energy we need through our state-of-the-art solar energy facility. We also invest considerably in our machinery to become even more efficient and to produce as few rejects and as little waste as possible during production.

We are also a fair trade partner and thus support small farmers in the cotton growing regions. Around 12 % of the cotton we buy is purchased under Fairtrade conditions. Let yourself be seduced by our fair collection.
The environmentally conscious gentleman will love our Tencel underwear. Tencel is made from the raw material wood and is particularly environmentally friendly due to a closed cycle. Textiles made of Tencel are more absorbent than cotton, softer than silk and cooler than linen.
Several of our underwear items contain Micro Modal, a natural cellulose fibre. This is breathable, hard-wearing, easy to care for and pleasant to the touch. We thus promise our customers lasting elasticity and the highest level of wearing comfort.
If the gentleman is prone to allergic reactions or is very sensitive, he will choose our Meryl-Skinlife products. The synthetic hollow fibre, in which wafer-thin amounts of silver are embedded, is particularly antibacterial, odour-inhibiting and well-tolerated.
Not only the corpulently gentleman will enjoy our Comfort Line, the Soft Waist underwear and the big size underwear. Thei are classic and comfortable underwear and an eye-catcher.
The sporty gentleman will certainly be attracted to our Sport and Clima series made of 100 % cotton.
Our female and male customers are relaxed about the climate change. They equip themselves with our Wool and Clima Control daywear. They are guaranteed to find the right item for an outside temperature of - 30 to + 30 degrees.
